Kiz Studios Visits E3 in LA

"Last week, a team from Kiz Studios made its first excursion to the world's largest video game expo. To say we were impressed by the show put on by the exhibitors would be an understatement."

Frantic paparazzi, anxious fans waiting to catch a glimpse of their favorite characters and million dollar production budgets, all set the backdrop of downtown Los Angeles. You might be deceived into thinking we're referring to a Hollywood premier, well not quite- we're talking about the video gamer's paradise that is E3. Last week, a team from Kiz Studios made its first excursion to the world's largest video game expo. To say we were impressed by the show put on by the exhibitors would be an understatement.

The headlines at this year's edition were dominated by the usual suspects. Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo's pre-show press conferences were attended en masse by tech bloggers and journalists from around the world. Both Sony and Nintendo respectively announced the latest versions of their anticipated consoles, the Vita and the WiiU. With the promise of unparalleled processing power and HD gaming, these devices represent the way of the future and we are already imagining the cool games we can develop for them.

As for the games themselves, from EA's Battlefield 3 to Activision's Call of Duty the graphical detail on display could almost fool one into believing they were live video feeds straight from the heart of a war zone. All of the games we played were beautifully crafted and engaging- we witnessed plenty of new titles like the much hyped Star Wars: The Old Republic MMOG and Bioshock Infinite as well as the return of some much beloved classics like Super Mario 3DS and Sonic Generations.

All in all, E3 provided an insider's view of the video game industry's latest and greatest innovations. We hope to make this an annual affair and be an important contributor to the wow factor that future attendees at E3 are sure to feel in the years to come.
